After receiving several media inquiries, Sheriff James R. Voutour announced Monday that William C. Shrubsall, also known as Ethan Macleod, 47, is in the custody of the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Shrubsall was taken into custody Monday with assistance from Canadian Border Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the New York State Troopers.
Shrubsall is being held on three separate Niagara County Court warrants for sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, unlawfully dealing with a child, bail jumping in the first degree, and criminal contempt in the second degree.
Shrubsall is being held at the Niagara County Correctional Facility pending further proceedings. The Niagara County District Attorney's Office made arrangements for Shrubsall to be arraigned on the warrants in Niagara County Court on Tuesday.
