Workers from Montante Construction this week began construction on the renovation of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center’s main lobby. The project involves the transformation of the current former information desk and patient registration area to create a patient-focused, welcoming and secure reception center.

“Our goal is to ensure that the environment of our main entrance and lobby area is welcoming, hospitable and accessible to all who enter our medical campus,” said Judi Nolan Powell, Memorial’s vice president for foundation and community relations. “Enhancements will include large-screen TVs and directional medical campus maps, which will serve to livestream Memorial’s services and upcoming events, as well as new furniture and fixtures, and more accessible and secure visitor registration procedures.”

Completion is scheduled for mid-February.
