The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks reported last week that permits for park shelters would be issued beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Norman Keller Building, 500 Wheatfield St. Permits are issued to North Tonawanda residents only.
Residents must bring proof of residency. Valid proof would be a driver’s license or two other forms of proof showing they reside in North Tonawanda. A tax bill is not valid proof.
A lottery system will be used. Beginning at 9 a.m. residents will draw a number that will determine the order in which park permits are allocated.
Residents will be charged $50 for a shelter without a kitchen and $60 for shelters with a kitchen.
After Saturday, Feb. 2, residents may get their permits in the Recreation Office located in the Norman Keller Building during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
