Sacarissa Bell Rose Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows has been busy distributing checks to community organizations. At the December meeting, it was decided to send checks of support to the Family Justice Center of Buffalo; Heart, Love & Soul of Niagara Falls; Community Cats Alive of Lewiston; and Wings Flights of Hope, of Orchard Park.
The mission of the IOOF is to improve and elevate every person to a higher, nobler plane; to extend sympathy and aid to those in need; to war against vice in every form; and to be a moral power and influence for the good of humanity. The members of IOOF said they “appreciate these organizations that do important work in our community.”
The Sacarissa Bell Rose Lodge is located on Center Street in Lewiston and meets bimonthly from September to July.
