Niagara Falls State Park offering prime viewing of 'Cascades of Fire' series

Niagara Falls State Park will host Cascades of Fire International Fireworks Competition viewing parties for all six nights of the series.
The competition will pit six countries against each other in a pyrotechnic spectacular. Each show will begin at 9 p.m. and run approximately 18 minutes. The schedule is as follows:
  • China - Friday, Nov. 9
  • Finland - Saturday, Nov. 10
  • Brazil - Sunday, Nov. 11
  • Vietnam - Friday, Nov. 16
  • Italy - Saturday, Nov. 17
  • Canada - Sunday, Nov. 18
Free parking will be available in lot No. 2 on Goat Island after 5 p.m. There will be free trolley shuttles from lot two to lot three, where viewers will be as close as possible to the displays that will take place on the international control dam. Simulcast of the synchronized music will be available, as well as light refreshments for purchase. For safety reasons, vehicular traffic will be prohibited in lot 3.
Overflow parking available in the state park Prospect Street lot, as well as the City of Niagara Falls lot located at the corner of First Street and Buffalo Avenue. On-street parking is also available around the perimeter of the park. From the city, it is about a .5-mile walk over the bridges to Goat Island.
Park Police advise motorists not to stop along the Niagara Scenic Parkway or Riverway during the displays, but instead encourage everyone to enjoy the event from lot 3.
