Last Saturday, the Town of Wheatfield Recreation Department hosted its annual Halloween party for children and families alike.
The party drew what Recreation Director Mike Ranalli called "a record attendance." Children enjoyed chips and lollipops on behalf of the Wheatfield constables; fresh drinks and candy were served; and activities were aplenty in the town's Youth Center gymnasium.
A big hit this year was the addition of a haunted house, which drew a plethora of visitors. Ranalli said the garage behind the Youth Center was cleaned up and designed just to incorporate the spooky adventure.
Although, weather did wash out the hayride component of the event, kids were still able to find some type of fun, Halloween activity to do.
Ranalli said that costumes are quite possibly the best part of the event, and kids came out in full force dressed as their favorite characters, athletes and much more.
Pictured are scenes from this year's party.
