Young creators gathered together on Sept. 16 to build their best juice stands as part of the "Grannie's Lemonade Stand Showdown" at Niagara's Honeymoon Sweets.
Participants were asked to build the best old-fashioned lemonade stand using boxes and/or wooden crates. Crayons, markers and paint could be used to decorate the stand. Participants also used glue, duct tape, masking tape, construction paper, tissue and paper bags.
Judges included New York State Sen. Rob Ortt and Assemblyman Angelo Morinello.
Prizes were awarded for Peoples Choice and Kids Choice.
A portion of the proceeds was set aside for the Boys & Girls Club.
Ortt, Morinello, Niagara Falls Police Superintendent Bryan DalPorto and City Councilman Kenny Tompkins are pictured with Isabella Salada, Dominic Salada, Michael Mettler and Anthony Enzinna.
