Heart fundraiser for Batt family today

On June 3, Jeff Batt suffered his third heart attack in four years, leaving him with only 25 percent of his heart working. His wife, Diane, has also survived heart problems and had a pacemaker put in last October.
A benefit will take place at the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451, 6525 Ward Road, Sanborn, to help raise money for a defibrillator and to help cover medical expenses.
There will be 50/50 and basket raffles, music, face painting and food.
The event will take place from 3-8 p.m.
