The Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York announced that it will move its Erie County operations to Airborne Business Park next fall.
"The new location will be designed and newly built to best fit our needs," said Judy Baumgartner, president of the VNA of Western New York. "We will consolidate the Erie operations into this one new building, optimizing workflow and efficiency. This new space will also allow us more room for growth as the need for home care and community-based services continues to expand."
Because of the its growth and evolution, the VNA's Erie operations currently reside in three separate buildings within six-tenths of a mile along Wehrle Drive.
Baumgartner added, "With the significant changes in technology and daily operations over the last 20 years, it is imperative that we design a flexible and adaptable workspace that will allow more accessibility to field staff and branches and support our continued growth."
The VNA is the largest certified home health agency in Western New York and the fastest-growing entity in the Kaleida Health organization.
It provides care for more than 27,000 patients annually, performing more than 530,000 home visits. The agency is ranked among the top home health care agencies in the nation, with a 98 percent patient satisfaction rating.
"The VNA is a strategic asset of Kaleida Health and its imperative that we support its employees and the organization itself," said Jody Lomeo, president and CEO of Kaleida Health. "Over the past few years, we have made significant investments in our hospitals. This is the next logical step. We are pleased to be able to make this commitment and invest in the future growth and strategic direction of the VNA."
The VNA has made several updates to its branch locations, including Niagara, Chautauqua and, most recently, the Allegany branch office. The VNA's centralized office that supports the Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming county communities will move to its new location in the next few weeks.
The VNA is working with Uniland Development Co., which owns the Airborne Business Park. With its close proximity to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Airborne Business Park is centrally located in Western New York. With more than 30 acres of shovel-ready space, the Town of Cheektowaga site offers immediate access and a central location for any business. This suburban campus is minutes to restaurants, hotels and retail.
The VNA is the largest home health agency in Western New York, serving more than 27,000 patients annually with more than 530,000 home visits.
