Join members of Villa Maria College's board of trustees and the college community to meet Interim President Dr. Matthew Giordano on Thursday, Sept. 20. The event will take place on campus, in the Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery, in which the Photography Program Alumni Exhibit will be on display. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and will last approximately two hours. Light refreshments will be served.
Giordano was named interim president in May, following Sister Marcella Marie Garus' decision to retire after 50 years of dedicated service to Villa Maria College. The college said Giordano brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to Villa Maria's mission and core values.
Previously, Giordano served as the college's vice president for academic affairs. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and philosophy from Binghamton University and both a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in American literature from the Ohio State University. He successfully completed the Executive Leadership Academy of the Council of Independent Colleges and the Felician Leadership Institute in 2017.
Those interested in attending this event should respond by Monday, Sept. 17, to Tracy Rozler at 716-961-1825 or [email protected].
