Tickets now on sale
Nine months of planning had led to this: The first "Rockout Cancer" will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Lewiston Stone House, 755 Center St. The event is a fundraiser for the Lower Niagara Community Survivors Group, which was formed to help cancer patients with day-to-day projects and activities.
Each $25 ticket entitles the holder to live entertainment and food. Guests can avail themselves of a cash bar and try their hand at basket raffles. Music will be provided by Jamie Holka, Vinyl Addiction, Busted in Eden and Mister Thank You. Food is courtesy of the Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q, Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen, Casa Antica and the Stone House.
Tickets can be purchased at those eateries, as well as Sgt. Peppers Hot Sauces in Lewiston and Somewhere in Porter.
The Lower Niagara Community Survivors' motto is "No one survives alone." The group seeks to empower cancer survivors, and enable those with cancer to live more active and unburdened lives as they recover.
