Keeping the children of North Tonawanda and the surrounding area safe is important to the North Tonawanda Police Department and Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union.
On Saturday, Sept. 8, the North Tonawanda child safety seat program will check child safety seats in the parking lot of the North Tonawanda branch of Greater Niagara FCU at the corner of Ward and Oliver streets. The program is open to everyone in the community and surrounding area and will be open from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Gift bags will be available for all the children in the vehicle. Kids also will have access to the free G.I.F.T. bookshelves located in the entryway of the credit union next to the flag retirement box. These children and adult books were donated by the North Tonawanda Public Library through a grant and are available free of charge to anyone who stops in to the credit union during regular business hours.
