The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday for Niagara Outfitters. As the outdoors company has no brick and mortar location, the event took place at the foot of Water Street in Lewiston.
With the slogan, "There's more to Niagara than just the Falls," Libby Broderick's Niagara Outfitters offers hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboard, fishing, sailing and tubing. Participants can book a two-hour, four-hour, full day or multiday excursion. Each adventure is led by licensed guides. Equipment rentals and lessons also are available.
Village of Lewiston Mayor Anne Welch and Deputy Mayor Claudia Marasco, as well as Town of Lewiston Supervisor Steve Broderick and Councilman Bill Geiben joined chamber board members at the ribbon-cutting. Refreshments were provided by The Silo Restaurant.
