On Tuesday, the United Way of Greater Niagara worked with 20 agencies and more than 130 volunteers from General Motors, Katz Americas, PolyOne, Hypertherm, Saint Gobain, Niagara University and the community at large to aid nonprofit organizations and those in need.
Director of Resource Development Erika Kastel said, "Over 130 people from different organizations came together to create a positive impact in our community."
United Way President and CEO Connie Brown added, "United Way of Greater Niagara is grateful to the businesses and the organizations that have encouraged their employees to volunteer at our 'Day of Caring.' The agencies we support are appreciative of the work that is completed on this day and it gives the volunteers an opportunity to see where their money goes when they donate to United Way of Greater Niagara."
UWGN serves 25 local agencies and 42 much-needed programs in Niagara County.
