M&T Bank promotes Alan E. Govern to group vice president

Alan E. Govern has been promoted to group vice president at M&T Bank. Govern has been with M&T for eight years, having most recently held the title of administrative vice president.
As assistant general auditor, Govern is responsible for the establishment and development of internal audit strategies related to the consumer bank, as well as corporate treasury.
Govern holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Niagara University.
He currently resides on Grand Island.
