9 nonprofits from across WNY to receive free CreateAthon services

J. Fitzgerald Group has announced the nine regional nonprofit organizations that have been selected to receive free advertising and marketing services as part of Western New York's only CreateAthon event.
Following an online application process, each CreateAthon applicant was evaluated for inclusion based on audience reach, the ability of services to make an impact on the nonprofit organization and the communities they serve, and the scope of each organization's financial need. 
"We heard from many different charitable organizations this year, making it a difficult selection process," said Carmel Cerullo-Beiter, partner and vice president of JFG. "As we celebrate our 11th year hosting CreateAthon, we're excited to work with one of our biggest groups of nonprofits to help them meet their needs."
CreateAthon is held as a 24-hour creative blitz, starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the JFG offices at 12 W. Main St., Lockport. Representatives from JFG will meet with each of the beneficiary nonprofits prior to the event to discuss the marketing services they need most. The JFG team and a group of volunteers will then work around the clock to create logos, brochures, advertisements, email templates, posters, TV/radio scripts, billboards, communication strategies, website updates, social media campaigns and other needed pieces - this year totaling 22 different items for the nine organizations. All of this work is provided to the selected nonprofit groups at no cost, and the finished work will be presented to each group starting at 8 a.m. Aug. 24.
