Memorial names Loeffler director of quality management

Passalugo promoted to chief quality and compliance officer
Veteran health care manager and administrator Dawn Loeffler will join Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as director of quality management effective June 25.
Her appointment was announced by Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Sheila K. Kee.
A graduate of Sage College, where she earned a master's degree in health care administration, and SUNY's Empire State College, Loeffler previously served as project manager for primary transformation health care reform at the Saratoga Hospital Primary Care Group in Saratoga. Prior to that, she was performance improvement manager for the Hudson Headwaters Health Network, a nonprofit system of 17 community health centers providing primary care to families residing in the Adirondack North Country and Glens Falls Region. 
Loeffler will be responsible for Memorial Medical Center's day-to-day inpatient and outpatient quality management efforts and initiatives. She will report to Anne Passalugo, who has been promoted to chief quality and compliance officer.
In her new role, Passalugo will have oversight of a reconfigured quality department that includes inpatient and outpatient quality management, utilization review, infection prevention, corporate compliance and risk management.
Memorial's corporate compliance officer and director of risk management since 2015, Passalugo holds a master's degree in public health/health care administration from the University at Buffalo. She joined the staff at Memorial in 2001 and was previously director of emergency management, community programs and respiratory therapy.
