River Region homeowners are uniting this weekend with one common goal: To offer a great deal on lovingly used clothes, furniture, toys, home goods and chachkies.
The 10 Mile Garage Sale is taking place today and tomorrow along the streets of Lewiston, Youngstown, Ransomville and Sanborn.
For many participants, the annual event is a way to make some extra money while spring cleaning. Guests see it as a fun way to get in some steps - and find a great deal on items they may need, or maybe didn't know they wanted.
Others, like Heather Ewy (pictured below), use the sale as a fundraiser. In this case, Ewy has raised more than $6,000 (since 2011) for cancer research, organizational awareness and support services.
