Volunteer committee plans fun-filled free day for Niagara residents ages 55 and up
Volunteers from various agencies in service to the older adult population from across Niagara County have once again spent the year organizing, soliciting donations and planning a fun-filled, free day for Niagara County residents 55 and up. The Niagara County Senior Walk in the Park committee's annual event will take place Thursday, June 7, at the Calvin Richards Senior Center in the Town of Niagara's Veterans' Memorial Park, 7000 Lockport Road. Registration and health fair open at 10 a.m. and the event ends at 1 p.m.
The walk is a free event with a mission of promoting health, wellness and activity for senior residents of Niagara County. The day includes:
- A health and resource fair
- Four lengths of walk courses to choose from
- Lunch
- Entertainment
- Free raffle
- Outdoor games
