Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit set to begin at Kenan Center

The Kenan Center House Gallery, 433 Locust St., Lockport, will present the biennial Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit from May 20 through July 8. It welcomes artists from the Buffalo-Niagara region working in a variety of two- and three-dimensional media.
Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and 2-5 p.m. weekends (plus extended hours June 2-3 during the 100 American Craftsmen event). The gallery is closed May 26-28, July 4 and Saturdays starting June 9. A free public reception and awards presentation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 20.
Forty-three artists were selected for the show: Chris Behrend, Robert Bemisderfer, Sandra Bemisderfer, Brien Berberich, Susan Bordon, Paul Borkowski, Paula Borkowski, Joseph Buccolo, Judy Collins, Rhonda Daigler, Sharon Fundalinski, Kathleen Giles, Diane Goupil, Joan Hambleton, Paulette Jurek, Jennifer Koury, John Lagomaggiore, John Lang, Manning McCandlish, Cindy Meal, Kelsey Merkle, David Michalski, Susan Murzynski, Shirley Murdoch, Cary Muscato, Susan Palys, Sherrill Primo, Joan Saba, Donat Sadowski, Melinda Schneider, Joan Shaw, David Stockton, E. Jane Stoddard, David Vitrano, Peggy Walker, Dody Walter, Jeffrey Watkins, Michael Wickham, Deanna Weinholtz, Lee Williams, Bill Wilson, Bob Wurster and Patty Wurster.
Since 1967, the Kenan Center's Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit has provided a forum for significant new works by artists from the Niagara Region. The juried show features a variety of media, including oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, photography, mixed media and sculpture.
