Mount St. Mary's Hospital recognizes volunteers for contributing more than 40,000 hours of service

More than 160 volunteers from Mount St. Mary's Hospital and the Mount St. Mary's Child Care Center were honored at the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon Friday at the Niagara Falls Country Club.
During 2017, volunteers throughout the organization gave more than 40,000 hours of service. Volunteers represent the American Red Cross, Mount St. Mary's Hospital, VanGo Drivers, St. Francis Guild, board of associates and the Senior Companion Program.
The seventh annual Outstanding Volunteer Award in Honor of Ruth Woolery was presented to volunteer Marie Chiarenza. Also recognized were 90 year olds: Margaret Destino, Vito Alongi, Maria Crea Smith, Louis Campanaro, Joe Marra, Stephen LaBarber, Doreen Enman and Joyce Switzer; and those with more than 500 hours of service: Marilyn Keenan, Dolores Borowski, Donna Montie, Jean Rosenberg, Barbara Yandian, Jim Udy, Stephen LaBarber and Greta Thompson.
