Niagara Falls Community Development will hold a happy hour cash mob from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Gagsters Restaurant, 708 E. Market St., Niagara Falls.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our community. Gagsters has been a city market staple for years, and their commitment to Niagara Falls is worth celebrating. Plus, their pizza is world-class," said Seth Piccirillo, director of Niagara Falls Community Development.
A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local business to make purchases. The purpose of these events is to support both the local businesses and the overall community while providing a social opportunity. They are a form of flash mob, and are inspired by such activity.
"We are also asking all attendees to check in to social media platforms during the event, offering reviews of Gagsters and sharing photos," Piccirillo said. "Online conversation makes a significant difference in how a small business gains more attention and customers, visitors and locals alike."
