Lockport Community Television, along with the Lockport Community Cable Commission and Charter Cable, announced this year's scholarship recipients. This year, $12,300 in scholarships was given to 11 recipients.
Winners of this year's Anjeannte Briones Scholarships for Outstanding LCTV Youth Volunteer went to Andrew Pencille who is a Lockport High School senior hoping to pursue a career in computer engineering. The Gaskill/Roeseler Community Service Award to outstanding students who volunteered their time to the community went to Eric Schreader, Samantha Pellicano, Caitlin Hall, Marissa Santos, Benjamin Flaherty and Matthew Pskaty, with students representing Starpoint and Lockport High schools.
For students entering the communications field, there were four recipients of the Thomas Riley Memorial Scholarship: Michelle Sprung, Spencer Dick, William Briggs and Caitlyn Robbins, all from Lockport High School.
