Announces 2018 scholarship program
The Hon. Gary Strenkoski, Wheatfield town justice, swore in the Wheatfield Business Association's 2018 officers and board members at the group's monthly meeting at Yubb's Restaurant. Sworn in were Rob Allen as president, Jim Candella as vice president, Gilles Dube as treasurer and Danny Maerten as secretary. Neil Klettke, Tom Grimm and Mike Doktor were installed as the year's board members. Gary Andrzejewski, of G&S Auto was selected as the WBA Business Person of the Year and Taylors Tap & Grill was selected as the WBA Business of the Year.
Town of Wheatfield Supervisor Don MacSwan was the association's guest speaker at February's meeting, where he updated the members on current and ongoing particulars of Wheatfield. MacSwan also informed attendees of upcoming changes and additions coming to the town.
The 2018 Wheatfield scholarship applications for Town of Wheatfield graduating seniors will be available at the school counselor offices at Niagara-Wheatfield, Starpoint and Niagara Catholic. The applications may also be available from Maerten by emailing
