Lewiston: Memorial Day committee meets, sponsors re-up

Lewiston's Memorial Day Remembrance Committee met Thursday at the Veterans Memorial in Academy Park, the site of the upcoming Memorial Day Ceremony. Members brought the honors banner from the 2017 event and said they were very pleased to note last year's great sponsors have all signed up again to support this community event again in 2018.
The committee is responsible for planning and fundraising, as well as the production of the Memorial Day parade preceding the remembrance ceremony and the free community luncheon afterward in the park.

The committee was recently designated a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charity.
