Announcement of Greenway awards
The next meeting of the Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Fund Standing Committee will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, 726 Exchange St., Suite 525, Buffalo.
The meeting is open to the public. The agenda includes announcement of funding awards for submitted Greenway project grant requests.
The committee receives funds from New York Power Authority as part of the 2007 settlement agreement related to the 50-year federal license received by NYPA for the Niagara Power Project. During the term of the license, the Buffalo and Erie County Standing Committee will receive $2 million a year. It is composed of one representative from Erie County, the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and NYPA.
