Dana Papaj, a Grand Island resident who was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in June, will be the beneficiary of a fundraiser in her honor.
Friends from Huth Road Elementary School where Papaj worked will hold a fundraiser to raise money to help the Papaj family. The fundraiser will take place at the Radisson Hotel, 100 Whitehaven Road, March 23 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Papaj was struck while walking her dog near East River. She was severely injured, suffering from a brain injury that nearly took her life.
Donations to a basket raffle or contributions of cash can be made to "Dedicated to Dana." For more information, call Jeanne Percival or Diane Lipp at 716-773-8850 or email [email protected] or [email protected].
