It was a great work out for a great cause. Spinning instructor Stefany Critelli held a three-hour spin class at ChrisFit in Lewiston on Feb. 24. Riders paid $10 for each hour they participated. Many rode for the entire three hours and gave extra donations, as well. The event, which raised $500, was a pre-ride to support the Hospice Gran Fondo bicycle ride that raises money for Niagara Hospice.
The Hospice Gran Fondo bike ride will be held Saturday, May 19, at Krull Park in Olcott. Riders can choose from three routes that travel through the Niagara Wine Trail. Wineries offer free wine tastings at the post-ride party. Riders can also enjoy live music and snacks after the ride, provided by Tops Markets.
Another pre-ride event will be held March 24 at Rebel Ride Indoor Cycling and Strength in East Amherst. For details and registration for the pre-ride, visit
