Tom Casey, seeking the endorsement of the Democratic Party for his campaign for the congressional seat in the NY 27th District, spoke Thursday night at a "Turn NY 27th Blue" event at Geneseo College. There, he asked his party to return to its roots - the everyday working people.
Addressing those gathered there, he said, "To win the 27th, Democrats need a fiercely independent Democrat who can resonate with Republicans, Conservatives and Independents, as well as with the nonaffiliated and young voters who are fed up with both parties."
Casey, who has spent the Past 45 years working primarily in the 27th district for communities as a water supply, wastewater treatment and public health engineer, as well as volunteering and raising a family, said he believes constituents must seriously shake up Washington in order to restore democracy to the 27th and to America.
His plan for this is detailed in the 28 positions he has posted on his website. These are positions that he will stand and fight for if elected. The text of Casey's "Turn NY 27th Blue" speech is posted on the "News" page of his website. For this and more information on his campaign, visit caseyforcongress.org.
