Lewiston Porter students jogged their way to a generous donation for Niagara Hospice. The students each paid $1 to participate in the "Jingle Jog," held Dec. 22 in both the Primary Education Center and Intermediate Education Center.
Each participating student's name was displayed on an ornament tree, and the students jogged around the school for 30 minutes for the fundraiser. Additional donations from students and their families contributed to the $1,170 donation to Niagara Hospice.
Niagara Hospice has provided end-of-life comfort, care and support since 1988 to over 20,000 Niagara County individuals and families faced with terminal illness. No one is ever denied hospice care due to inability to pay. For more information, visit www.NiagaraHospice.org or call Niagara Hospice at 716-439-4417.

Also shown are PEC students and teachers Justin Hays and Cindy Sanoian who, along with Principal Tamara Larson (not pictured), created an ornament tree that displays the names of the participating students.
