Zahno named OpenNotes project manager at NFMMC

Stacey Zahno has joined the information services team at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as OpenNotes project manager.
A graduate of Niagara County Community College and Niagara University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in management, Zahno has more than 10 years of experience in administrative roles, having served as a mission-focused team builder and effective change agent at area health care facilities, including Briarwood Manor, the Rosa Coplon Living Center - Weinberg Campus and Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in health care administration through Southern New Hampshire University.
Zahno will lead an interdisciplinary team that will implement OpenNotes, a project dedicated to having patients become more actively involved in their health care and treatment by giving them access to providers' visit notes, which are part of the medical record. Implementation of this initiative to promote clinical transparency will include provider and patient education activities, conducting and reporting on patient and provider surveys, and tracking usage statistics.
