On Jan. 10, the Lewiston/Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Club was entranced by two tales of achievement. First, Juanita Finn, winner of one of the Rotary scholarships, told members about her journey from an orphanage in Columbia to an adolescence in Lewiston and on to becoming a biology major at John Carroll University.
Then, Rotarians heard the story of Irwin Printup who, after a stint in the Marines, proceeded to become an artist and illustrator who has deepened the appreciation of the Iroquois Culture by illustrating children's books, and painting and sculpting in soapstone.
