Leandra Collesano and Lisa Ohanessian Mies, event coordinators for the Historical Association of Lewiston's 13th annual Tour of Homes, have announced the "Scovell House" as the winner of the 2017 Best in Show.
The "Scovell House" (pictured) is owned by Kelly Lauber of Lewiston and was decorated by her friend, Donna Moxham of Wilson. Moxham decorated and staged the fieldstone home by using a combination of antiques, mirrors and glass to highlight every nook of the spacious and historic Ridge Road home.
A long-time employee at Mecorney's Decorating Center in Lockport, Moxham is currently a freelance decorator specializing in both commercial and residential spaces.
Held Dec. 2-3, ticketholders at the well-attended Tour of Homes had the opportunity to vote for their favorite décor and holiday theme between the six featured homes on the tour.
Collesano said, "The Tour of Homes was an incredible success. Each home seemed to top the next in creativity and beauty."
Mies added, "We were thrilled with the final results and heard nothing but rave reviews from our ticketholders. It is clear from the comments that this year's tour was one of the best."
The 2018 Tour of Homes will be held Dec. 1-2.
