Veterans say 'Thank you'

The Island's two veterans organizations joined forces to honor two members of the local media. At a meeting held Nov. 29 at the Grand Island Moose Lodge 180, representatives of Charles N. DeGlopper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9249 and Grand Island American Legion Post 1346 presented certificates of appreciation and gift certificates to the Village Inn to Jodi Robinson of Isledegrande.com and Larry Austin, editor of the Island Dispatch.
Patrick Soos said the organizations made the presentations "to thank you for all the support that you have given to our veterans organizations."
The certificates were signed by the respective post commanders, Ray DeGlopper of Grand Island Post 1346 and Dan McMahon of DeGlopper Post No. 9249.
