The Thunder of Niagara Air Show has announced its 2018 lineup of the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbird Demonstration Team.
"The 2018 Thunder of Niagara Air Show is excited for the community and aviation enthusiasts to present a never-before-seen lineup of this magnitude," said Maj. Ben Canetti, Thunder of Niagara Air Show director. "Not only will we have the Thunderbirds, we are excited to host Canada's elite jet demonstration team, the RCAF Snowbirds. It doesn't stop there, joining this all-star lineup we are excited to announce that the F-22 Raptor Demo Team will also be performing."
The Air Show will be held June 9 and 10, 2018, at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. It is free and open to the public.
The week preceding the air show will feature several community events to highlight Air Force Reserve Week. 2018 is the 70th anniversary of the Air Force Reserve, and Niagara has been selected to host this special week of activities that will lead up to what organizers call a world-class air show.
The 2018 Thunder of Niagara Air Show is designed to increase public awareness of the military, highlight the bravery of the men and women in uniform, and show the base's appreciation to the people of Western New York for their many years of support.
