Niagara Falls Community Development: Jingle Falls USA street hockey tournament announced

The Niagara Falls Community Development Department is hosting a street hockey tournament on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Niagara Falls city parking lot next to 10 Rainbow Blvd., Niagara Falls, as part of the Jingle Falls USA event series.
"The goal of Jingle Falls, and our street hockey tournament, is to provide new events for the residents of Niagara Falls, and to give all people a reason to spend time in our community," said Seth Piccirillo, director of Niagara Falls Community Development.
Check in for the tournament goes from 9-9:45 a.m. and the first round starts at 10 a.m. It's $40 for each team, due at check in or deliver to 1022 Main St., Niagara Falls. There's a maximum of 16 teams and the tournament will be played rain or shine, except for extreme weather. Dress appropriately.
Play will be three-on-three with three players and one goalie and each team is allowed a maximum of five players and one goalie. Games will be 20 minutes with two 10-minute halves. Players must be 16 years or older and male, female and co-ed teams are allowed. The top three teams will receive cash/gift prizes.
