Once-in-a-lifetime experience available Dec. 27 and 28; will include 300 level ticket to USA-Canada outdoor game
Fans will have a chance for a once-in-a-lifetime experience when the World Junior Hockey Championship comes to Western New York this December: an opportunity to skate on the outdoor ice at New Era Field. Tournament organizers announced two special sessions have been set to give hockey enthusiasts a chance to make memories in the days leading up to the inaugural World Junior Championship outdoor game between the U.S. and Canada.
There will be two sessions open to fans:
  • 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27
  • 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28
The cost to participate will be $100 and will include a 300 level ticket to the U.S. vs. Canada outdoor game at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at New Era Field. Skaters will enter the stadium grounds at One Bills Drive, the main driveway off Abbott Road, and park in lot No. 2. Then, skaters will proceed to enter the stadium through gate No. 1 and head toward section 122/123 for field and ice access. They will have a warming station in New Era Field's east end zone tunnel to tie up skates, and will be able to purchase concessions at the Miller Lite Brew Pub.
All participants are asked to bring their own skates, and helmets are required for anyone under 12 years of age. Everyone entering the stadium must hold a ticket to the skating event.
This offer is open to all Bills season ticket members, Sabres season ticketholders and My One Buffalo members beginning today, by clicking on this link. Any remaining slots will be available to the general public tomorrow, Dec. 1, beginning at 10 a.m.
Packages for all 31 games of the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championship are still available, along with eight- and 12-game options. Tickets to all preliminary round games are currently on sale. Individual ticket sales for medal round games will be announced at a later date.
