A holiday tradition is bigger and brighter than ever this year at historic Schoellkopf Park.
Thanks to members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 237 and the maintenance staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the park is ablaze with holiday lights and new holiday displays. This year's additions include Santa and his reindeer, a new fire truck and a nativity scene.
"Our Memorial Medical Center and Schoellkopf Health Center families delight in bringing the joy of the season to the Memorial Park neighborhood and Schoellkopf Health Center residents, whose rooms overlook the park," said Memorial President and CEO Joseph Ruffolo. "This has become a popular attraction, with people coming from all over the city to view and photograph these enchanting displays.
"We are grateful to President John Scherrer, Business Manager Russell Quarantello, Salim Kinan, Ray Roffle, the second year apprenticeship class and journeymen of Local 237 for working with us to bring the joy of the season to downtown Niagara Falls."
