Donors encouraged to give 'Gift of Life' this holiday season & receive One Buffalo gloves from Unyts
Unyts and Pegula Sports and Entertainment have teamed up to host a One Buffalo community blood drive from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at the Lexus Club inside KeyBank Center. This event will provide members of the Western New York community with a chance to give the "Gift of Life" this holiday season. Participants will also be able to register as organ donors, and learn more about the value of transplantation.
"Unyts is the primary supplier of blood products for over 60 percent of the WNY community, and it is our responsibility to ensure that there is locally donated blood to help save local lives every day," said Mark J. Simon, president and CEO of Unyts. "We are honored to come together as One Buffalo in furthering the 'Gift of Life,' and we look forward to working with PSE on Dec. 4."
All presenting donors will receive a pair of Unyts One Buffalo gloves, and will have the opportunity to meet Bills and Sabres alumni throughout the day. Donors are welcome to make an appointment by visiting
www.unyts.org/teamunyts. Walk-ins are also welcome. Complimentary parking is available in the HarborCenter ramp. Any interested donors who can't make it to KeyBank Center for the drive can donate at their nearest Unyts Neighborhood Donation Center between Dec. 4 and 9 and receive a pair of the One Buffalo gloves.
