'Pizza with the Plan' public meeting

Fri, Nov 24th 2017 07:00 am
The City of Niagara Falls Community Development Department (NFCD) invites local residents to have a slice and discuss the 2018 draft community development action plan at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29.
"There is no rule that government meetings need to be stuffy, and we want to hear local opinions and feedback in a casual setting," said Seth Piccirillo, NFCD director. "Community development starts with community participation. NFCD, through its citizen participation process, develops an annual action plan that lists and prioritizes local housing and non-housing community development needs."
The event will take place at the Niagara Falls Community Development Office, 1022 Main St., Niagara Falls.
On Nov. 15, NFCD published the draft 2018 action plan for public review. The plan is available online at www.nf-cd.org/participate. The public comment period will end at noon Friday, Dec. 15.
"Pizza with the Plan" offers the opportunity to discuss any and all elements of the draft 2018 in a casual setting.
"Our ultimate goal, through this process and in general, is to incorporate ideas and concerns from our residents into each annual action plan," Piccirillo said.
An official public hearing will also be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at City Hall Council Chambers 745 Main St.
Written comments outside of these public meetings can be made using the contact form at www.nf-cd.org/participate or by submitting a written statement in person or by mail to:
