Monica Marie Graesser, 51, of Buffalo and formerly of Grand Island, passed into rest on Nov. 13, 2017.
Born on Veterans Day, 1966, Monica grew up with her loving family on Grand Island, where she loved horses. As an adolescent, Monica owned and cared for three horses, with which she competed in 4H shows over the years. She was an accomplished student, swimmer and track athlete at Grand Island High School.
She graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Niagara County Community College in 1987 and attended the University at Buffalo. She developed a passion for music and art and pursued these interests throughout her adult life.
She loved and cared for her family, and she had many friends. She is survived by her son, Justin Graesser, of Grand Island; her parents, Maureen O'Donnell of Grand Island and Norman Graesser of Tonawanda; sister, Mary Pfalzer (Bryant) of Grand Island; brothers, Edward Graesser (Cindy) of Williamstown, New Jersey; Daniel Graesser of Lake Stevens, Washington; and John Graesser of Everett, Washington; several aunts and uncles, three nephews, and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined.
