Britini D'Angelo, a Niagara University junior majoring in communication studies and theater, received the May C. Randazzo Memorial Scholarship from the Buffalo/Niagara chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
D'Angelo was presented with the award during the organization's annual meeting on Nov. 15 at Cole's Restaurant in Buffalo.
"Britini's involvement within the Niagara University and Niagara Falls community is inspiring," said Dr. Joseph M. Sirianni, associate professor of communication studies and co-adviser of the
Public Relations Student Society of Niagara. "She truly encompasses everything that makes a successful public relations professional."
A Niagara Falls native, D'Angelo is president of the Public Relations Student Society of Niagara and involved with 13 clubs and organizations at NU. In addition, she presently serves as a public relations and marketing intern with the Health Association of Niagara County (HANCI).
This marks the second straight year a Niagara University student has been selected for the prestigious May C. Randazzo Memorial Scholarship. Jennifer Gallo, a 2017 NU alumna who is now working at Archer Communications in Rochester, won the award last fall.
