During the month of November, St. Peter R.C. School students and families were busy participating in the school's annual food drive. Families were asked to give items such as cereal, pasta, peanut butter, canned goods and paper products, among other things. Donations were then given to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for distribution to local needy families during the Thanksgiving season.
This year, the school's St. Vincent de Paul Junior Society lent a helping hand organizing and packing up dozens of boxes of donations.
During the Christmas season, students from the Junior Society will also offer gift-wrapping services at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara mall food court from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. All proceeds will benefit Opportunities Unlimited.
