NAPA Mechanics Competition at farm show

Once again the Western New York Farm Show is inviting high school students and nonprofessional, young adults to participate in its annual NAPA Mechanics Competition. The event challenges youth to complete a course made up of various tasks that could include bolt identification, hydraulics, machining, automobile inspection, welding, torque, tractor part identification, brakes, hard wiring, fluid tests and air brakes.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, with the 18-21-year-old College/Real World Mechanics Competition scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3.

Now in its eighth year, the Western New York Farm Show brings together the region's farming community and the services necessary for daily operations. The 2018 show is scheduled for Feb. 1-3 at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg. The exposition is sponsored by the Erie County Agricultural Society.
