The Lewiston Choraleers will kick off their popular holiday concert series at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. Peter's R.C. Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston. The event will be part of the annual Lewiston Christmas Walk, which is sponsored by the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce.
Additional performances will be held as follows:
•2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. John de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.
•2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston.
The family-friendly Lewiston Choraleers program, titled "Celebrate the Season," will feature an eclectic mix of traditional, contemporary, ethnic and international holiday music. The 50-member community chorus will be directed and accompanied by Donald D. Shrimpton and percussionist Pat Kuciewski.
All performances are open to the public, with a general admission fee of $5 (children 12 and under admitted free).
The Lewiston Choraleers has been presenting seasonal concerts at Christmas and Easter and in the spring and summer in the Niagara Falls-Lewiston area since being formed in 2007. A variety of videos and a list of scheduled performances are available at
