At 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, the Village of Lewiston Recreation Department will host its annual nighttime wild turkey hunt for children in grades K through eight.
Participants will hunt for candy, prizes and, of course, stuffed turkeys in the dark in Toohey Park (behind the Red Brick Municipal Building at North Fourth and Onondaga streets). They should bring a flashlight and a basket to carry turkeys.
In case of rain, the event will be held inside the Red Brick building.
Preregistration is not necessary. It is suggested a parent accompanies a child.
Afterward, doughnuts and cider will be served, and crafts and games will be available in the gym.
This is a free event sponsored by the Village of Lewiston Recreation Department. For more information, call 716-754-1990 or email [email protected].
