Helping first responders

Niagara County Legislator Kathryn Lance, a county representative for the Town of Wheatfield and North Tonawanda, delivered a check to St. Johnsburg Fire Hall. Lance said the check is intended to help the esteemed fire hall defray the cost of a new roof.
"As a mom, teacher and an elected official, I understand the importance of the volunteer companies and I'm just happy that we can assist in any way possible," she said.
New York State Sen. Rob Ortt is also helping the fire hall with funds to contribute toward the new roof.
