NT: Fall Festival back for 2017

The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation & Parks, in association with Christian Academy of Western New York (CAWNY), will hold the sixth annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The event is taking place at the home to CAWNY and the NT School Administration Building, 789 Gilmore Ave. The setting has plenty to offer for everyone.
This indoor/outdoor venue features a craft and vendor show including 40 crafters and vendors selling and displaying their items. A basket raffle with approximately 60 baskets/gift cards to be raffled off is also is in the plans, along with food and beverage sales.
A whole section of the festival is geared specifically towards the kids, including fall festival themed games and prize stations, inflatable fun, face painting, pumpkin patch, petting zoo and contests which include the popular donut eating contest. The NT Fire Department will be giving fire truck tours as well as having an information table, while the NT Police Department's K-9 unit will be on hand to do a presentation with their dog at approximately noon.
There is no admission to the festival; however some games, activities and all food and beverages require purchase. All proceeds from the event go toward CAWNY programs, the NT Youth Board Scholarship Fund and other youth-related programs that the board oversees.
