The Rev. Canon Cathy Dempesy-Sims, canon for connections in the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York, visited Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Cardiac/Stroke Care Unit on Tuesday to bless the first of 150 new patient walkers being placed into use at the hospital.
The walkers were purchased with a Guillemont Memorial Grant from St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Rainbow Boulevard in Niagara Falls and will help ensure safe ambulation for Memorial's cardiac, stroke, post-surgical, elderly and other patients.
On hand for the blessing were members of St. Peter's Church and the hospital staff.
