Niagara Area Foundation now accepting grant applications

The Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations for the 2017 grant cycle. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Oct. 16 and can be submitted online at www.TheNiagaraAreaFoundation.org.
Niagara Area Foundation awards are provided to support Niagara County programs that will make a positive impact in the following areas:
  • Arts
  • Civic needs
  • Community development
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Human services
Preference will be given to applications that have the greatest impact on youth development and demonstrate collaboration with other organizations.
Approximately $65,000 is available for the 2017 grant cycle, with a maximum grant award of $10,000.
The Niagara Area Foundation awards are made possible thanks to the generosity of individuals and groups who established funds with the foundation for the benefit of Niagara County residents.
Recent grantees of the Niagara Area Foundation's competitive process include Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc., Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club and Youth Mentoring Services of Niagara County.
